  10. Marine Beach, Fleetwood – sand and shingle beach. Unsafe for swimming. Facilities and part seasonal dog ban.
  11. Ferry Beach, Fleetwood – shingle and sand. River currents make it unsafe for swimming. Ferry across to Knott End-on-Sea. Facilities and dog friendly.
  1. Knott End-on-Sea – sandy beach only accessible from slipway otherwise marshland first. Facilities and dog friendly.
  2. Cockerham – seaweed covered stone and muddy sand further out. Not safe for walking out on sand. No facilities.
  3. Half Moon Bay, Heysham – over shadowed by Ferry terminal and much of it seaweed covered stones but large stretch of low tide side and some pretty coves away from Terminal. No facilities but dog friendly.
  4. Heysham Sands – long sandy Bay continuing into Morecambe. Facilities and dog friendly.
  5. Morecambe South Beach – crescent shaped beach with a bit of high tide sand but large expanse of low tide sand. Facilities and dog ban on part.
  6. Morecambe North Beach – more muddy in places than 14 and only stones at high tide. Facilities but dog friendly.
  7. Lancaster Sands – not very accessible and also wet and quite muddy.
  8. Silverdale – need wellies to cross many streams running through sand. Only stones at high tide. Facilities in village short walk away. Dog friendly. Recommended.
